PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the initial rate of the pressure increase of a combustible mixed gas in a pressure vessel. ;SOLUTION: The rate of pressure increase of a combustible mixed gas 13 on the inside of a cylindrical member 4 by ignition combustion is increased by setting the distance D from the inside of the apical part 4a of the cylindrical member 4 of an igniter 2 to a filament to ≥0.5 times the distance L from the inside of the apical part 4a to the inside of a base member 7. Furthermore, the time required to reach a prescribed pressure by the combustion of the combustible mixed gas 13 in the pressure vessel 1 is shortened by providing a igniter 2 in the pressure vessel 1 and expansion start time of an air bag is shortened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
