STATOR BLADE FRAME FOR GAS TURBINE OR JET ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use lightweight and inexpensive material with low strength by elongating the fatigue life of blades of a stator blade frame assembly. SOLUTION: The stator blade frame assembly includes: an outer structure ring 34; an inner structure ring 36; the series of discrete blades 22 each connecting with the outer structure ring 34 and the inner structure ring 36 and forming inner and outer platforms defining a series of passages each defined by the adjacent blades 22; and a series of sealing members 30, 32 contoured to a respective series of gaps between the series of blades 22 and arranged for sealing the gaps. A method of applying the sealing members 30, 32 to the gaps between the platforms formed as a result of the connection between the blades 22 includes the steps of: fixing the series of stator blades 22 on an inner frame and an outer frame; and sealing the series of sealing members 30, 32 on the back surface of a stator blade frame.
