PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing drop of critical current density of a current lead as well as a magnetic shield body used for the method, related to a large leakage magnetic field affecting on the current lead following larger constituting of refrigerator cooling superconducting magnet devices and intensified magnetic fields. ;SOLUTION: An oxide superconducting current lead L of a refrigerator cooling type superconducting magnet device is shielded with a magnetic shield 1 of an oxide high temperature superconducting material, and the shield is cooled to a very low temperature so that the critical current density of the superconducting current lead is prevented from dropping. Both inside and outside surfaces of a magnetic shield cylinder are sputtered with silver to form a silver thin-film layer, for improved cooling efficiency of the shield.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
