PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of processing a female screw of which the core bar can be easily removed when processing the female screw in the inner peripheral face of a pipe by swaging. ;SOLUTION: The core bar 2 formed with a thread on the outer peripheral face is inserted into a pipe hole for swaging a pipe hole. After completion, tools 3 are opened and a chuck 5 clamping the core bar 2 is retracted. Knurl tools 14a, 14b are pressed onto the outer peripheral face of the pipe drawn from a head to knurl the outer peripheral face.
