PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a highly reliable standard pattern with contact statuses of 'on' and 'off' which have a close relationship with programming.;SOLUTION: A standard pattern generator 10 generates the standard pattern that is collated with an on and off pattern for sequencer 2 contact group to which an attention is paid. A contact selector 14 of the standard pattern generator 10 reads a sequence program from the sequencer 2, goes up the program from an output instruction that includes a designated contact, and extracts from the program the contact that affects the 'on' and 'off' statuses of the designated contact. A detecting and storage mean 13 records the status changes of 'on' and 'off' for each contact as time-series information when the sequence program is executed. A diagnosis standard generator 11 generates the standard pattern by extracting the status changes of 'on' and 'off' of the contacts selected by the contact selector 14 from the time-series information stored in the detecting and storage mean 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
