PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for displaying at least two different characters, the first type character and the second type character. SOLUTION: The display unit has the screen which regenerates coded characters received in form of data stream in the readable character form. The first type character and the second type character are regenerated on the screen by using mutually different format, when only one type of the characters is received in the prescribed data stream. The present invention includes the indicator for the first and the second characters for detecting the element which shows the existence of at least two type of the characters in the same data stream received so that the selection of the common displaying format on the screen may be activated.
