FLAME-RETARDANT EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION FOR CASTING AND COIL CASTINGS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition for casting that is suitable for coil casting or the like with excellent resistance to moisture and contains no injurious substance, for example, halide flame retardant, antimony and the like and provide coil castings. ;SOLUTION: This epoxy resin formulation includes, as essential components, (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a silica powder, (C) aluminum hydroxide and (D) zirconium oxide, in which the total of the components (B), (C) and (D) is 160-280 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the component (A), and the formulation in the [(B)+(C)+(D)] is 20-35 wt.% of (B), 65-80 wt.% of (C) and 1-5 wt.% of (C).
