PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system performance testing device for an electric car carrying out operation equivalent to that of an electric car power system mounted on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A motor 4 constituting an electric car power system 1 with a power source device 2 and a motor control unit 3 is mechanically connected to a power absorbing unit 5, and generated torque of the motor 4 is measured. The generated torque is converted into a driving force for a wheel, and using inertia quantity and traveling resistance of the electric car, a theoretical acceleration at that time is calculated and the power absorbing unit 5 is controlled so that the number of revolutions equivalent to a theoretical speed found by integrating the theoretical acceleration. In addition, the motor is operated according to a rotational speed pattern matching a target speed pattern.
