PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for agricultural products which improves the reliability of grade decision in assorting the agricultural products.;SOLUTION: This device has a camera 202 for picking up the images of at least the flanks of the agricultural products P which are placed on agricultural product loading surfaces having recesses and are transported and an arithmetic controller 3 which determines the regions of the appearance decision images for making decision relating to the appearance of the agricultural products P by removing the pickup image information within the prescribed width along the contours of the resulted lateral pickup images of the agricultural products. The arithmetic controller 3 is constituted to have removal width changing sections 302 which are capable of dividing the blocks along the image contours and changing the same by dividing the blocks to the blocks of the lateral pickup images dividing the sizes of the prescribed widths to be removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
