PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw with a dust collecting port formed on a blade guard. ;SOLUTION: The dust collecting port 48 is formed on the upper rear end part of a guard, for a blade 16, which includes a discharge rib 50 for flowing dust in a specified direction and a return rib 52 on the periphery of the port 48. On the port 48, a spring-loaded door 56 is provided which is pivotally moved between a closed position and an open position and includes a retaining rib 66 of for recurring a hose to the port 48 when the door 56 is located in the open position. When the door 56 is located in the open position, dust is allowed to flow to the discharge rib 50 and the hose, passing through a space 38 formed by the guard, while dust is allowed to flow to the return rib 52 passing through the discharge rib 50 to be discharged via an opening formed at the lower end part of the guard, when the door 56 is located in the closed position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
