PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure tips of start and end of winding to a mandrel or a yarn wound member using the same mechanism without a risk of contamination of a final product with foreign matters including adhesive tape. ;SOLUTION: Winding of yarn Y is started with the tip of the yarn Y gripped by a gripping part 13 relatively rotatably provided to a rotary shaft 5 rotating with supporting the mandrel M, and the tip is wound around the mandrel M such that the tip of the yarn Y wound around the mandrel M does not come loose even when the yarn Y between the mandrel M and the gripping part 13 is cut. The yarn Y between the mandrel M and the gripping part 13 is then cut by a rotary cutter 30 by the end of the winding of the yarn Y, while the yarn Y gripped by the gripping part 13 is released. After winding the tip in the end of the winding of the yarn Y around the mandrel M, the yarn Y is gripped by the gripping part 13, and the yarn Y between the mandrel M and the gripping part I3 is cut by the rotary cutter 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
