PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic unit for making the number of instructions of a program smaller than that of instructions mounted on a conventional arithmetic unit, and for reducing executing time or size of the program. SOLUTION: In this arithmetic unit for executing prescribed arithmetic operation according to the instruction to be mounted, the arithmetic operation is performed by using at least one or more data, and one or more arithmetic results are outputted. Thus, it is possible to substitute a series of instructions to be frequently used with a single instruction. Therefore, the number of instructions can be made smaller than a conventional manner, and then the size or executing time of the program can be reduced.
