PURPOSE: To maintain a uniform rotational speed over a drive period and prevent the occurrence of an oil hammer in a damping force selector mechanism, regarding a step motor control device for the mechanism. ;CONSTITUTION: The first drive means M3 generates a drive signal for an excitation pattern at the current step position where a stepping motor M1 is positioned.
