COLD ROLLED STEEL SHEET FOR CAN REDUCED IN DEFECT CAUSED BY INCLUSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold rolled steel sheet for a beverage can in which the size and amount of nonmetallic inclusions are prescribed for reducing defects caused by inclusions at the time of working. ;SOLUTION: This cold rolled steel sheet for a can reduced in defects caused by inclusions is obtained by subjecting a slab having a composition containing, by mass, 0.01 to 0.1% C, 0.001 to 0.1% Si, 0.1% to 1.0% Mn, 0.01 to 0.03% P, 0.001 to 0.03% S and 0.01 to 0.1% Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities to hot rolling and thereafter performing cold rolling. Among inclusions in the cold rolled steel sheet, the oxide nonmetallic inclusions containing Al2O3 and CaO whose total mass (Al2O3+CaO) is 30 mass % and having a grain size of 105 to 200 μm are ≤3 pieces per 1 kg of the cold rolled steel sheet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
