FUEL BRIQUETTE FOR CUPOLA AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize recycling and reuse of metal wastes developed in a machining process as melting raw material for cupola and, at the same time, of plastic waste materials as fuel. SOLUTION: The steel-base or iron-base cut waters and crushed polyalefine- base plastic waste materials or molten polyalefine-base plastic waste materials are kneaded at a ratio of about 10:1-1:2 and the resultant mixture is solidified with a pressure-forming method to form fuel briquettes. When the fuel briquettes are charged into a cupola as part of iron scrap and coke, the cut waste component is melted and changed into molten iron and the plastic waste materials are effectively utilized as the fuel or the heat source for melting.
