PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop bar device of a gate door capable of easily and properly controlling drop bars from either of the front side and the rear side of the gate door and, at the same time, increasing rigidity against wind pressure or the like of the gate door when locking is made by the drop bars as soon as possible. ;SOLUTION: A drop bar device of a gate door is equipped with a pair of drop bars 21 and 22 arranged respectively to positions corresponding to a pair of front and rear muntins 9 and 10 of jambs 6 and connected so as to enable an up-and-down motion to interlock both of them, a pair of manually-operated bodies 39 and 40 arranged so as to enable a vertical motion control to a pair of drop bars 21 and 22 from both front and rear sides of the jambs 6 and connected so as to enable a front-and-rear motion to interlock both of them and a detachable mechanism 47 controlling and allowing the down motion when a pair of drop bars 21 and 22 are located at upward specific positions with the front-and-rear motion of a pair of manually operated bodies 39 and 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
