PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively provide a retainer for needle roller bearings and a needle roller bearing using such retainer by fitting a recessed part over a projected part, which are respectively formed on both end parts of a band steel plate and calking a connection part of the recessed and projected parts to firmly lock both the parts. ;SOLUTION: A projected part 5 is formed on a first end part 3 of a retainer body 2 obtained by rounding-molding a band steel plate, and recessed part 6 to be fitted onto the projected part 5 is formed on a second end part 4. Two calking grooves 17, 17 are formed on the outside peripheral surface of the retainer body 2, and retaining claws 18 for retaining needle rollers 29 are formed on plural windows 14 for rotatably holding the needle rollers 29. The calking grooves 17, 17 extend to an area where oblique outside surfaces 8 and oblique inside surfaces 11 are joined in the projected part 5 and the recessed part 6, and firmly lock the projected part 5 and the recessed part 6 by calking.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
