METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DECIDING SYSTEMATIC ERROR VALUE IN TRIGGER PATTERN GENERATION FOR DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement of pattern arrangement when servo information is written by the head of its own by correcting random errors and systematic errors due to the shape influence of the head, generated at a time when trigger patterns are written on a disk.;SOLUTION: This method for deciding the value of the systematic error in the case of generating the trigger patterns on a rotating disk, has a step ion which a 1st time interval T146 between 1st and 2nd trigger patterns written by the head positioned at a 1st radial position ST#1 on the disk is measured, a step in which a 2nd time interval T145 between a 3rd trigger pattern written by the head positioned at a 2nd radial position ST#2 on the disk and the 2nd trigger pattern, and a step in which the 1st time interval is compared with the 2nd time interval to decide the value of the systematic error.
