CAD SYSTEM CAPABLE OF LINKING WITH SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE, FORM MODEL GENERATING METHOD UTILIZING THE SAME SYSTEM AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM FOR EXECUTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation comfortable for a user by performing flexible processing even when the form of a component is unknown or assembly of components is to be changed by fetching data inputted by spreadsheet software as data for generating a form model. ;SOLUTION: Spreadsheet software 301 performs processing, preservation, calculation and display of data and operates according to a definition described in a spreadsheet definition file 302. Processing 401 for expressing each component as a CAD model from a product specification 400 is previously described in the spreadsheet definition file 302 and when the product specification 400 is inputted, data 402 required for the CAD model 403 are calculated by automatic processing of the spreadsheet software 301. A link program 304 reads the data 402 required for the CAD model 403 of the component from the spreadsheet definition file 302, converts the data to data interpretable for CAD software 303 and transfers them to the CAD software 303.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
