STATICALLY INDETERMINATE STRUCTURE EXPERIMENTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to empirically understand the reaction force of a statically indeterminate structure by viewing a change in a load while moving the excess reaction force point of the statically indeterminate structure which receives the load. ;SOLUTION: The load 8 of the structure is put on a continuous beam of two spans with this experimenting device. Its central fulcrum is determined as the excess reaction force point and a spring balancer 3 is used for load measurement and a dial gage 7 for displacement measurement. When the spring balancer 3 is moved up and down, the load changes via a substitution point 2 (with the excess reaction force point) and the user understands the statically indeterminate reaction force by viewing this change.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
