PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-standard mobile communication terminal that is configured to be in operation between a base station of a public cellular network and at least one fixed part of at least one priority cordless phone local network.;SOLUTION: The multi-standard communication terminal is provided with a communication means that communicates with each of the public cellular network and the priority cordless phone local network, a search means that searches for a fixed part of the local network and a changeover means that gives an instruction to the communication means to be in operation by one network or the other according to the result of search in the network by the search means. The terminal also includes a means that programs and processes an event to start search for one fixed part or more in the local network where the terminal can be in operation and the program/processing means activates the search means on the occurrence of a programmed start event.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
