PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upline streamed noise suppressing method for bidirectional CATV system and a branch for bidirectional CATV, with which the signal of an up line can be transmitted without being affected by a streamed noise even when the existent cable facility of a CATV system performing the services of a down line only is used.;SOLUTION: A carrier frequency to be used for the up line from a subscriber terminal in the bidirectional CATV system to the side of a station is made different for each of plural subscriber terminal groups and on the transmission route of the up line from each of plural subscriber terminal groups to the station side, only the band of the carrier frequencies used for the respective subscriber terminal groups is passed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
