PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic memory management system for a 2-way service application and an automatic memory management method. SOLUTION: A television receiver provided with memories (21, 22, 23) for receiving service data includes a processing module (11) that correlates a consumed amount reference received together with the service data with a storage device reference denoting the characteristic of the memories of the receiver. The processing module discriminates storage conditions by correlating both references. Preferably, a rearrangement module (12) processes the contents of the memories in order to create space areas to store new service data.
