PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting isochronous data stream to an application in a computer system without generating the plural number of times of processor interruption and the computer system. ;SOLUTION: This method for receiving isochronous data stream by buffering the isochronous data stream in the main memory of a computer system comprises a process for receiving the isochronous data stream in an interface in the computer system, a process for demodulating the isochronous data stream in the interface, and for converting the isochronous data stream from a modulation analog format into a digital format, a process for transferring the isochronous data stream from an interface to a buffer in the main memory of the computer system without applying an interruption to the processor in the computer system, and a process for transferring the data from the buffer through a driver communicating with an application program on the computer system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
