PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement monitoring fiber sensor by laying an optical fiber in a long monitoring object such as a road, connecting a distortion measuring device thereto, thereby easily setting a reference point in the case of monitoring a displacement due to landslide on the like of the monitoring object, and reducing the amount of laid optical fibers.;SOLUTION: In this displacement monitoring fiber sensor formed by the optical fiber 2 laid on the monitoring object 1 and connected the same to the distortion measuring device 3 to be used in the case of monitoring distortion of the monitoring object 1, the optical fiber 2 is laid in zigzag in the longitudinal direction within one plane of the monitoring object 1, the bent points of the zigzag are fixed to the monitoring object 1 to set the fixed points 4, and an immobile point or point taken to be immobile among the fixed points 4 is set as a reference point 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
