PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock detection indicator component and a method of investigating the shock history which dispenses with detector circuits and power sources and is capable of detecting a received shock due to falling, etc., and clearly indicating them. ;SOLUTION: A shock detection indicator component 1 for detecting and indicating a received shock comprises a cap 4 having a light passage 41 and a light shading block 5 having a weight 51 and a yielding part 52 connected to the weight 51 for closing the light passage 41 of the cap 4, thereby detecting the shock in a specified direction.
