GAUGE VARYING METHOD FOR TRUCK AND GAUGE VARYING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauge varying method for a truck to which unnatural load is not applied to be excellent in durability and a gauge varying equipment, by which at the time of locking using a locking device, large shifting from a normal locking position is not caused and if position shifting is caused, locking is smoothly performed. ;SOLUTION: According to this method of varying the gauge, wheels 12, 12 of a gauge variable truck 1 transferring from one track to the other track which are different in gauge are put in the state of moving along an axle by releasing locking of locking means 6-8 for holding the wheel-to-wheel space, and run on a relay track 32 connecting both tracks or a non-rail track where no rail is laid, and simultaneously the gauge of the truck is varied. Immediately after the space between both side wheels 12, 12 of the truck 1 is forcibly varied by a guide rail or a rail until it becomes a little wider than the wide normal gauge dimensions or a little narrower than the narrow normal gauge dimensions, the guide rail or the rail is returned to the normal gauge dimensions, and simultaneously the locking means 6-8 start locking operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
