PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a superconducting magnet for levitated railway to be cooled easily and stably by using a high-temperature superconducting bulk magnet. ;SOLUTION: A high-temperature superconducting bulk magnet is provided with a liquid nitrogen tank incorporating a refrigerating machine for liquid nitrogen, a liquid injecting pipeline 2 and a recovery pipeline 3 connected to the liquid nitrogen tank incorporating the liquid nitrogen refrigerating machine, and an outer tank. The magnet is also provided with an inner tank 6 fixed in the outer tank through a load supporting material, a rectangular high- temperature superconducting bulk body 8 which is fixed in the inner tank 6 and has holes 9, and a cooling passage 10 formed in the bulk body 8 and/or the inner tank 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
