PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically control, diagnose, and predict the behavior of a multi- phase flow non-destructively by resolving the tomography image of the multi- phase flow into a multiple-resolution frequency distribution through the use of wavelet transformation and wavelet inverse transformation and separating it into frequency levels. ;SOLUTION: The digital data of the tomography image of a multi-phase flow in a conduit and blood vessel is subjected to wavelet transformation to obtain a wavelet spectrum. Then the wavelet spectrum is subjected to wavelet inverse transformation for every frequency of the wavelet spectrum to obtain a tomography image resolved into multiple-resolution spatial time frequency levels. A high-level part indicates a high-frequency part, and a low-level part indicates a low-frequency part. In the case that the tomography image is a solid vapor two-phase flow, only the distribution of a part with high solid concentration is visualized in lower levels, and only the distribution of a part with low solid concentration is visualized in higher levels.
