PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create a melody suitable for code progress.;SOLUTION: As code progress data CP 1 to be used to create a melody, code data such as CD 1 and scale data such as SC 1 are stored for each bar in memory, etc., as the bar is progressing. Each code data directs the code in the corresponding bar, and each scale data directs AVNS(available note scale) suitable for the corresponding code. When a melody is created, the pitch of the sound (code scheme sound or non-code scheme sound) in AVNS directing the scale data of the bar to each attack point (sound generation timing) in each bar, and melody data expressing a pitch related to the given one are created. Concerning a part of bars, AVNS is detected without storing the scale data on the code data, and the sound pitch in AVNS related to the detection may be adopted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
