WHEEL DRIVING APPARATUS FOR ELECTRIC MOTOR COACH USING PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE DC MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel driving apparatus of an electric motor coach which can obtain high torque, high rotational output, and has a long life, very low noise, a simple structure and high reliability. SOLUTION: A center shaft 4 fits and holds inside and outside concentrically a rare earth permanent magnet 11 forming a rotating magnet field, a soft magnetic member 12, a brush 14 for rectification, and a brush retaining member 15, in the state that the permanent magnet 11 is positioned outermost and the brush retaining member 15 is positioned innermost. A permanent magnet type DC motor has the center shaft 4, a connection terminal 21 and a leading-out wire 18. A rotor of the DC motor is fixed to a wheel frame 26 of an electric motor coach. A ring type body 24 of a stator is fixed and linked to a wheel 7 of the coach which stator has a core 8 with a winding 10, the ring type body 24 fixing and retaining the core 8 and a current direction inverter 6 being in contact with the end surface of the brush 14.
