PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively apply a treatment therapy to a nervous tissue arranged in a brain, a spinal cord, or a peripheral nervous system.;SOLUTION: A lumen 810 has at least one of apertures 815, 816 at a tip 810 to directing leads 815A, 816A, 817A outward along required loci. The lumen 800 can receive a plurality of leads. These leads can project outward from the tip of the lumen 800 in various directions. The leads have one or more electrodes at their ends. Thus, predetermined two-dimensional or three- dimensional geometrical shapes are formed by the lumen. An operator can form the relationship between a positive electrode and a negative electrode as required for stimulating a nervous tissue surrounding the electrodes. In addition, the operator can adjust the stimulation in order to selectively stimulate required parts of a brain, a spinal cord, or a peripheral nervous system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
