DUST REMOVING METHOD OF COOLING TOWER IN EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR MELTING FURNACE AND DUST REMOVING APPARATUS FOR USE IN THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily exfoliate and remove dust, which sticks to an exhaust gas- cooling tower for melting furnace without dismantling the cooling tower and without using manpower.;SOLUTION: A nozzle body for shot blast is cooled with water in the course of removing dust from a cooling tower 2 of an exhaust gas treatment system for a melting furnace, which leads the exhaust gas of a melting furnace 1 to a dust collector through a cooling tower 2 for filtering. In addition, the nozzle body is freely protractile and retractile in the cooling tower 2 to shot-blast the inner wall of the cooling tower 2 with a polishing and sweeping material for cleaning dust adhering thereto and drawing the same to the dust collector. In addition, there are provided a method of discharging the polishing and sweeping agent from a part of the cooling tower 2 and an apparatus for use in the method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
