PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the composition and the structure of constituting components in a compound material by avoiding the leakage and the drip of molten metal from a crucible and the staying of the molten metal in the surroundings at the outer part of a nozzle spouting hole, in the case of producing the compound material with a rapid solidification process.;SOLUTION: The crucible 10 is constituted so as to provide a cylindrical part 12 and a chamber part 14 communicated with the bottom part of the cylindrical part 12, and mixed powder is held into chambers 16, 18 formed in the inner parts thereof, respectively. Firstly, the mixed powder held in the chamber 16 is melted to make the molten metal and successively, the mixed powder held in the chamber 18 is melted to make the molten metal. In such a way, when the mixed powder is separately made to the molten metal in two stages, the molten metal having low m.p. is not leaked and dripped from the nozzle spouting hole before completing the melting of the molten metal having high m.p. Further, since the molten metal is smoothly spouted in the whole time by arranging the chamber part 14, the molten metal is not stayed to the surroundings of the outer part of the nozzle spouting hole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
