ORAL MUCOUS MEMBRANE-ADHERING TYPE SUSTAINED RELEASE TABLET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject tablet capable of lasting the effect for sufficient time with good feeling in use and withstanding long-time use by including xylitol, erythritol and ethyl cellulose into a sustained release tablet having adhesive layer and non-adhesive layer to oral mucous membrane.;SOLUTION: This sustained release tablet is obtained by including (A) xylitol and/or erythritol, (B) ethyl cellulose into a sustained release tablet having adhesive layer and non-adhesive layer to oral mucous membrane and preferably further formulating (C) a hydrophobic nonionic surfactant having ≤9 HLB (e.g. hydrophobic sugar fatty acid ester) therewith. The component A content is 20-95 wt.% in non-adhesive layer and 0-70 wt.% in adhesive layer. The component B content is preferably ≥1% in the formulated layer.
