PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a laser, wherein the response speed is fully at high speed, when the laser light is directly controlled and control resolution is high by using high-speed optical feedback control function.;SOLUTION: Switching circuits 2A, 2B are used in a power source, and an injection current into a stimulation light source 7 is subjected to instantaneous value control. In the instantaneous value control, the quantity of a light outputted from laser medium 8 is monitored with a light quantity detecting means 12, the detected value of the quantity of light is compared with an optical output setting value applied from the outside 90 by using an optical output control means 13, and a laser light output is instantaneously made to converge to a prescribed value, while the output indicating value of the injection current to the pumping light source is corrected, so as to reduce the error amount during the period of the optical output. In this way, even if the optical output set value is constant, the error amount between the detected value of quantity of light and the optical output set value will change, when the laser light output is changed. High-speed optical feedback control which instantaneously corrects the output indicating value of the injection current into the pumping light source in response to change of the error amount, is performed continuously.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
