Invention Patent: "METHODS FOR TRANSFORMING PLANTS TO EXPRESS BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS DELTA-ENDOTOXINS". a means of controlling plant pests is presented by a new method of expressing B. thuringiensis 2ym -endotoxins from B. thuringiensis in plants. The invention comprises new segments of nucleic acids encoding proteins comprising B. thuringiensis Cry2A β-endotoxins. Nucleic acid segments are described as well as transformation vectors containing the nucleic acid segments, plants transformed with the claimed segments, methods for plant transformation and methods of pest infestation control.
