In the present invention there is disclosed a method of repairing cracks in walls of cast-iron molds, furnace bottoms, pouring cups and ladles passing through the whole thickness of these walls by welding and by making use of at least one strap plate (6) having the form of double "T". The proposed method is characterized in that scale is removed by flame from the region of a crack (4) on inner side (2) of a wall (1) of a mold, furnace bottom, funnel and ladle, the cleaned surface is ground and the crack is welded by means of consumable metal coated electrodes with diameter ranging from 4 to 8 mm at welding transformer output in the range of 27 to 70 kVA, whereby prior removal of scale by flame from the inner side (2) of the mold, furnace bottom, pouring cup or ladle wall (1) at least one slot (5) for fastening the strap plate (6) having the form of double "T" and having the form corresponding with that of the strap plate (6) is performed by machining on outer side (3) of this wall (1) within the region of the crack (4). Subsequently said crack (4) is fixed by fastening of at least one strap plate (6) in the corresponding slot (5) so that after removal of scale by flame from the wall (1) inner side (2) that is opposite to the wall (1) outer side (3) of said mold, furnace bottom, funnel or ladle, the wall (1) inner side (2) is preliminary ground, whereby corresponding slots for a weld are formed thereon around the crack (4), then the crack (4) is welded up and after welding, the region of the welded up crack (4) in the wall (1) inner side (2) is finish ground.
