The invented carbon black specific electrical resistance is 0.1 ohm.cm, specific surface area measured by BET method is = 30 me2/g and specific absorption capacity determined according to DBP method thereof is = 200 ml/100 g, whereby if the specific surface area measured by the BET method ranges within 5-30 me2/g and the specific absorption capacity obtained according to the DBP method is in the range of 30-200 ml/100 g the carbon black particles have each one of the pair of the following physical properties: reactivity 1000 ml according to SiO determination method and hydrogen content 220 ppm, and if the specific surface area measured by the BET method is less than 5 me2/g and the specific absorption capacity obtained according to the DBP method is less than 30 ml/100 g the carbon black particle specific weight ranges between 1.5-1.7 g/me3, after being compressed. The carbon black according to the present invention can be preferably employed as a reducing material in metallurgical industry, further as anode material when producing aluminium and as carburizing material for steel-making industry.
