Feeding arrangement for a cattle building

The invention concerns a feeding apparatus in a cattle building 100, wherein the feeding apparatus is placed entirely outside the line of the outer wall of the cattle building. The feeding apparatus has a trough 10 for the animal's feed 200 and a turning piece 26 for protecting the trough against the elements. The cattle in the building come to the trough via a feeding opening 120 in the outer wall. The turning piece is hinged 32 firmly to the trough edge and/or the outer wall of the cattle building with L-shaped support pieces 20. Thanks to the hinged mounting, the turning piece can be swung away from its position on the trough, whereupon the trough can be filled up with feed from outside the cattle building, for example, with a tractor-driven feed distributing wagon 150. The feeding apparatus furthermore has a safety arrangement 36, 38, 40 which lifts the animal's head away from the trough when feed is being added. The apparatus can be furnished with a turning mechanism, in which case the turning piece can be moved with a drive arrangement. The parts of the feeding apparatus can advantageously be produced as elements and be assembled into a finished structure at the cattle farm. IMAGE
