The stable viscosity isocyanate group-containing prepolymer of the present invention is prepared by reacting an excess of organic di- or polyisocyanate with one or more polyol components containing nominally bifunctional or multifunctional polyoxyalkylene polyethers, wherein at least one polyoxyalkylene polyether -polyol-suitable functional initiator molecule prepared by oxyalkylation in the presence of a double metal-cyanide complex catalyst and containing a double metal-cyanide complex catalyst or a double metal-cyanide complex catalyst residue, wherein the prepolymer is 10-1000 ppm double metal-cyanide complex metal-cyanide complex catalyst contains a complex catalyst residue. Also within the scope of the invention are polyurethane polymers prepared from the above polyols and a process for increasing the storage stability of these polyols. ŕ
