The shower installation comprises a mixture tap (2) for connection to hot (3) and cold water (4) conduits, a shower head (1) connected to the mixture tap and a trough with upstanding sides provided with a discharge component for disposal of used washing water. A heat exchanger (6) is incorporated for establishment of thermic contact between the cold water conduit and the used washing water. The shower trough is provided with a slope along which the used washing water flows to a disposal trough (8). The heat exchanger is placed on the slope.
