The dispenser is particularly for use in canteens emitting food such as cheeses and meats for consumption with bread and comprises a housing incorporating food storage provision. In the housing is an emission aperture through which food is issued and it also contains food refrigeration devices. To move the food product, a movable suction cup (1) is brought into contact with it, coupling being achieved by the application of a pressure force. The suction cup is then moved with the coupled product (5) and a valve (2) is opened allowing the cup and product to be separated, the food being then passed to a receiving person.
