The invention relates to composite elements with the following layer structure: (i) 2-20mm metal, (ii) 10-100 mm compact polyisocyanate polyaddition products obtained by reacting (a) isocyanates with (b) compounds that are reactive with respect to isocyanates, optionally in the presence of (c) catalysts and/or (d) auxiliary agents and/or additives, (iii) 2-20mm metal, whereby an elasticity module of 275 MPa exhibits in the temperature range -45 to +50 DEG C an adhesion of 4 MPa to (i) and (iii), an extension of 30 % in the temperature range -45 to +50 DEG C; a tensile strength of 20 MPa and a compressive strength of 20 MPa.
