A veterinary instrument is closed and sealed in a sterile manner by a cap (4) formed by a lower sleeve tube (7) and an upper part (8). The upper part (8) forms a single body with the lower sleeve tube (7), so that the cap (4) can be moulded in a single piece. The upper part (8) is separated from the lower sleeve tube (7) by an annular notch. The upper edge (10) of the lower sleeve tube (7) forms an annular opening (12) through which the cannula (3) emerges when the upper part (8) is broken with the thumb and removed. IMAGE
