A pipe connection comprising a sleeve-flanged pipe (10) and an end piece (20) thereof has been described. The end piece (20) has an outer circumferential portion formed by and large mirror-symmetrical to the sleeve-flanged portion (12) of the pipe. The pipe (10) and end piece (20) are connected coaxially by means of an external clamping ring (24). In the connected position, opposite plane annular end surface portions (18 and 22) of the pipe (10) and end piece (20), which are both made of metal, form a metal-to-metal seal, whereas an internal ring gasket (28) is placed in the area of an internal opening slit of the gap (26) between said end surface portions (18, 20). At its outer circumferential portion on the ring gasket (28) has a circular elastic sealing lip (34) which may have its largest radial extent immediately adjacent to the inner opening slit of said gap (26). When said pipe (10) with connected end piece (20) is included in a pipe line/pipe system, in which fluid is flowing under pressure, the sealing lip of the ring gasket (28) will be forced elastically be the fluid pressure towards said opening slit, so that degree of sealing increases by increased fluid pressure.
