DURABILITY TEST INSTALLATION FOR TOTAL HIP PROSTHESES

The invention belongs to the field of human locomotory system endoprosthesis using mechanical means and consists in a durability test installation of the total hip prostheses. The claimed installation comprises a support (1) of the cap (2) of the hip prosthesis, a variable contact force being applied thereon by means of a mechanism (A) with a cam (3) and a roller tappet (4). The plane of the mechanism (A) which applies said force performs an oscillatory motion about the vertical axis "z", being driven by a mechanism (B) of the handle-balancer kind. The support (1) together with the cap (2) perform two oscillatory motions about the horizontal axes "x" and "y" simultaneously, being driven by two mechanisms (C and D) of the handle-balancer kind, all the three mechanisms being driven by electric motors and gear reduction units. The construction of the installation ensures the reproduction of the real kinematic and dynamic conditions occured during the employment of the total hip prostheses with maximum of accuracy.
