Refurbishing of Corroded Superalloy or Heat ResistantSteel Parts and Parts so RefurbishedThe invention relates to the refurbishing of a corrodedsuperalloy or heat resistant steel part, in particulara gas turbine component like a gas turbine blade, havinga surface with products of corrosion. According to the in-vention, the surface is cleaned, in particular by mechanicalor chemical means, and an aluminide coating is applied to thecleaned surface. Subsequently, the aluminide coating is re-moved, whereby all products of corrosion which have stillremained in the part to be refurbished are removed as well.
