The waste is sorted and dewatered, wherein separating the resulting wastewater is fermented and the solid fraction of the waste is gasified after an optional pelleting in a gasifier, wherein a portion of the operating steam used for the gasification provided by evaporation of the fermenter leaving worked up waste water and in the fermentation biogas used by recycling to the gasifier to increase the energy content of the synthesis gas produced in the gasifier and the carburetor leaving synthesis gas is used for energy recovery.
