A BIMETAL CATALYST PRODUCES AN EXTENDED OR BIMODAL MOLECULAR WEIGHT (MWD) POLYOLEFIN RESIN, WHOSE COMPOSITION DEPENDS ON THE CONCENTRATION RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO METALS OF THE CATALYST, PRODUCING THE HMW COMPONENTS. THE BIMETAL CATALYST PRODUCES AN EXTENDED OR BIMODAL MWD RESIN, WHOSE MLW AND LMW COMPONENTS, DEPEND ON THE RELATIVE PRODUCTIVITY OF EACH ONE OF THE CATALYST TRANSITION METAL SITES. WATER AND / OR CARBON DIOXIDE, ARE CO-SUPPLIED TO THE REACTOR AT THE LEVELS NEEDED TO MODIFY THE PONDERAL FRACTIONS OF THE HMW AND LMW COMPONENTS, ACHIEVING THEREFORE A DAILY REPATITION OF THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT, MWD. THE INVENTION ALLOWS TO REGULATE THE REPATITION OF THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF THE MWD RESIN, IN THE REACTOR. THE PONDERAL FRACTION OF THE HIGH MOLECULAR COMPONENT COMPONENT, DECREASES WITH THE ADDITION OF WATER AND / OR CARBON DIOXIDE AND THE FLOW RATE (FI) OF THE GLOBAL PRODUCT INCREASES WHEN THE PONDERAL FRACTION DECLOMPONENT IN THE HMW PRODUCTS.
